For the Chiefs, this game is the first chance to play against a team that is simply not as good as them.

The Falcons didn’t look particularly dangerous against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, despite coming away with a win. If it weren’t for a well-executed drive in the final two minutes, the Falcons would have started the season 0-2. Kirk Cousins played a good but not great performance, and the Kansas City defense should have no problem stopping him.

Turnovers are still a big problem for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has committed some blatant turnovers in the first two games of the season, which is uncharacteristic for the two-time MVP.

While I think they’ll clean up this week, Kansas City will have to rely on rookie running back Carson Steele to run the ball in the absence of Isiah Pacheco, who was placed on the injured list following the Chiefs’ Week 2 win over the Bengals.

This game gives Steele a chance to prove himself and I’m confident he will make an impact against a run defense that ranks 27th in the league.

Final score: Chiefs 38, Falcons 17.
