The highly anticipated second season of “Tulsa King” returns this weekend.

In the series, Sylvester Stallone plays New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi after he is released from prison after 25 years and “briefly banished to Tulsa, Oklahoma” by his boss, according to Paramount+.

“Dwight slowly assembles a ‘crew’ from a group of unlikely characters to help him build a new criminal empire in a place that might as well be another planet to him,” the show’s description reads.

According to Paramount+, in the second season, Dwight and his crew “continue to build and defend their growing empire,” but just as they find their way, they realize “that they are not the only ones looking to stake their claim.”

The show’s executive producer is Oscar-nominated Taylor Sheridan, whose other shows on the streaming platform include “Mayor of Kingstown,” “1883,” and “Lawmen: Bass Reeves.”

According to Paramount+, the second season of “Tulsa King” will premiere worldwide on Sunday, September 15. According to the streaming platform, new episodes will be released weekly on Sundays.

Cast of the second season of “Tulsa King”

In addition to Stallone, the series also stars Martin Starr, Andrea Savage, Jay Will, Max Casella and Vincent Piazza, to name a few.

Notable new additions include Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo. According to Paramount+, country star Jelly Roll will also make a cameo in Season 2, and his new, as-yet-unreleased song “Get By” can be heard in the trailer.
