Princess Beatrice’s weekly grocery shopping at M&S is surprisingly normal

For Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, lavish evening dates are nothing new: from secret sunset dinners in St. Tropez to commuting between London’s private members’ clubs, the royal couple knows how to ramp up the romance.

Sometimes, however, errands take precedence over pleasure – even for members of the royal family. On Saturday, Beatrice and her husband Edoardo were spotted doing their weekly shop at Marks & Spencer in Mayfair.

A father of two, Edoardo, who has a daughter, Sienna, with Princess Beatrice and a son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship, carried the couple’s shopping bag out of the supermarket.

In photos published by MailOnline, a look into Beatrice and Edoardo’s shopping bag showed that the royal duo had bought vine tomatoes and leafy vegetables.

Although it is unknown if she still strictly follows the diet, Princess Beatrice previously favored a plant-based diet and hosted a lavish party for her 31st birthday in 2019 with an entirely vegan menu, including a dairy-free cake.

A look at her shopping bag suggests that she may still be vegan, which was the diet she followed while working with her nutritionist and close friend. Gabriela Peacockbefore their wedding and after the birth of Sienna.

In conversation with HELLO! Speaking about her postpartum nutrition tips, Gabriela said: “Many new mothers think about their weight and getting back in shape. That’s not something I recommend to them.

The baby is the priority and if you have just been pregnant you really need to relax and be good to yourself. Don’t rush anything, don’t stress. Don’t judge yourself, just be organised and have a rough plan in mind. That really helps.”

Beatrice isn’t the only member of the royal family who follows a vegan diet. Before she married Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex spoke openly about how she tries to eat a vegan and gluten-free diet on weekdays.

“I try to eat vegan during the week and am a little more flexible in my choice of dishes at the weekend,” Meghan told Best health in 2015.

“But at the same time, it’s about balance. Because I train the way I do, I never want to feel like I’m depriving myself of anything. I feel like the moment you do that, you start stuffing yourself with things. This isn’t a diet, this is lifestyle eating.”
