Prosecutor: Galloway man admits to selling drugs to teenager in Atlantic City supermarket

Halim Fisher, 25, pleaded guilty on Monday, August 12, to illegal possession of a handgun, eluding police and possession of cocaine with intent to resell. The Atlantic County District Attorney’s Office announced his guilty plea in a news release on Thursday, August 15.

Investigators said Fisher and a teenager sold crack to a man at a convenience store in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. Fisher was arrested at the store and police found a drug scale and Ford car keys on him.

Police found the teen with crack and also saw a Ford Fusion with surveillance video of Fisher parked near the store. A gun was recovered from the glove compartment and lab tests confirmed Fisher’s DNA on the gun.

In his guilty plea, Fisher also admitted to speeding in front of police when they attempted to stop him in Mays Landing on Saturday, June 2, 2023. He also pleaded guilty to another violation of the cocaine trafficking charge on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City.

Prosecutors said Fisher is expected to be sentenced to six years in prison and must serve three and a half years before being eligible for parole under the Graves Act, and he also has a drug restraining order for the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City.

Sentencing for Fisher was expected in October.
