Pueblo Health Department inspects food daily at Colorado State Fair

PUEBLO – Food is a staple at the Colorado State Fair and we highlight the people who keep you safe so you don’t get sick from eating turkey leg.

Inspectors from the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (PDPHE) check every food vendor at the fair daily to ensure there are no violations of health regulations.

“It’s important to do this every day,” said Shyanne Urdiales of PDPHE. “We want to keep up with all of our suppliers and make sure all safe food practices are always being followed, just not when we’re not here.”

At least eight inspectors go to the fair to check the food stalls.
