Raising Cane’s begins its golden age with the 828th restaurant in Boston

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers celebrated its 28th anniversary.th year and the opening of the 828th.th Restaurant in Boston on Wednesday with the opening of a restaurant made entirely of gold.

Founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and owned by Todd Graves, the concept welcomed Celtics legend and Olympic gold medalist Jrue Holiday, Red Sox first baseman David Ortiz and musician Jacob Dodge Lawson, known professionally as Jvke, and hosted a grand opening ceremony.

The event also featured a golden birthday cake designed by baker Buddy Valastro, known as the “Cake Boss.”

The gold-colored restaurant at 101 Arch St. in Boston was built for the event and features gold walls, floors and seating, as well as kiosks.

Jvke, a 22-year-old TikTok phenomenon known for the hit “Golden Hour,” also performed for the crowd.

Raising Cane’s spread the wealth by offering customers across the country the chance to win 828 golden prizes valued at $100,000 through RaisingCanesBirthday.com. Prizes included gold bars, coins and nuggets, necklaces and shoes.

Raising Cane’s has created special restaurants with singer Post Malone in Utah and with Malone and the Dallas Cowboys.

Cane’s has committed to giving back $28 million to communities across the U.S. over the course of the year, bringing the company’s donation to nearly $140 million over the past 28 years.

Graves opened the first Cane’s on August 28, 1996, near Louisiana State University. More than 100 new restaurant openings are planned this year.
