Raising Cane’s expands its Dallas Restaurant Support Office in Plano

Raising Cane’s Dallas Restaurant Support Office – located in Plano – is about to begin a major expansion project that will triple its space.

“Yo, yo, yo, do you want chicken to go?”

This is just one of the many phrases employees at chicken finger chain Raising Cane might say as you pull into the drive-thru. Known for its witty sayings and connection to Post Malone and the Dallas Cowboys, the restaurant has a long-standing connection to Dallas. Fun fact: The Dallas Restaurant Support Office is located in Plano.

The Plano office opened in 2009 with a lease in the Legacy Business Park in Plano and 53 positions were open. In 2010, Raising Cane’s opened its 100th restaurant. Today, the company operates more than 800 locations.

The Plano office is currently located at 6800 Bishop Road and employs 480 people. And with more than 1,600 restaurants planned by 2030, the current space may not be enough to accommodate the Caniacs.

“Expanding into our new office represents the great success we’ve had in Plano over the past 16 years and is indicative of all the milestones to come as we continue to grow our team and open restaurants around the world,” said AJ Kumaran, co-CEO and COO of Raising Cane. “The City of Plano has been a great partner to us over the years and we look forward to continuing our partnership and community support when we open the doors of our new DRSO next year.”

The expansion will more than triple the space of the current office with a 400,000 square foot office campus at 5320 Legacy Drive.

“The City of Plano is pleased to partner with Raising Cane’s on this significant expansion and investment in our community,” said Mayor John B. Muns. “For the past 16 years, Raising Cane’s has been an important part of Plano’s corporate landscape, significantly strengthening our local economy and creating hundreds of good-paying jobs for our citizens. The company’s commitment to community values is evident in its ongoing contributions and support throughout North Texas. We warmly congratulate Raising Cane’s on their remarkable success and look forward to working with them in this exciting next phase of growth in Plano.”

While an opening date for the campus has not yet been announced, the company plans to remodel it over the next year and move in sometime in 2026. Raising Cane’s currently has many positions open at its Plano campus.
