Rams WR Puka Nacua out with knee injury

DETROIT, Michigan – Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is out for the remainder of the game against the Detroit Lions with a knee injury.

Left guard Steve Avila (knee) was also excluded from the game.

After catching a ball midway through the second quarter, Nacua limped off the field and went to the blue medical tent. Nacua’s return from his knee injury was questionable, but he returned for a short time before leaving the game again.

Nacua missed training camp for several weeks after injuring his knee during a group practice. The receiver returned to practice on Aug. 26 and was listed as a full participant in practice the week leading up to Sunday.

Last season, Nacua set the record for most passes caught (105) and most receiving yards (1,486) among rookies in NFL history.

Nacua had four of 35 catches before his injury.
