PRESS RELEASE:

LEWISBURG, WV – Help us make a difference! On Saturday, August 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we will park our mobile clinic in front of Kroger to host a special community event in support of the First Baptist Church of Rainelle Food Pantry. This event will not only collect food donations, but will also provide important health services to the public.

The First Baptist Church of Rainelle food bank plays a critical role in our community, delivering between 200 and 300 boxes of food each month to families in need. By participating in this food drive, you are helping to ensure that this vital ministry can continue to support those who need it.

Event details:

  • Date: Saturday, August 24
  • Time: 10am – 2pm
  • Location: Before Kroger, Rainelle, WV

Wellness services offered:

  • Blood pressure checks
  • Glucose checks
  • Lipid Panel Labs ($25 cash price)

Our mobile clinic will provide these services on-site, allowing you to conveniently take care of your health while contributing to a good cause. We encourage everyone to bring and donate non-perishable food items. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact on the lives of people in our community.

“Supporting our local food bank is more important than ever,” said Mary Page Nemcik, executive director of RCBC. “We are excited to combine these efforts with wellness offerings to ensure our community stays healthy and we help those in need.”

Let us join forces to support the First Baptist Church of Rainelle food bank and ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. We look forward to seeing you there and thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
