The football club Real Madrid and Avolta have opened a new location at Madrid’s main airport. “The Corner by Real Madrid” opened its doors in Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, with a second location planned in Terminal 1.

The entire Real Madrid squad attended the opening ceremony, taking a break from their trip to Mallorca for a La Liga match. Club president Florentino Pérez and Avolta managing director Juan Carlos Torres presided over the event.

Chaired by Florentino Pérez, Club President, and Juan Carlos Torres, Executive Chairman of Avolta, the core message of the opening was the union of two great brands, each with a history of excellence and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Torres explained: “We believe that airports are places where unforgettable experiences take place and this partnership is another perfect example of how Avolta is doing everything it can to make this happen. With this new initiative, we want to redefine what it means to wait for a flight by offering our customers a place to buy their favorite team’s products, enjoy good food, a pleasant atmosphere and, of course, the essence of Real Madrid.”

The new space covers 100 square metres and features a bar reminiscent of the recently renovated Santiago Bernabéu stadium. It offers a menu of Spanish-inspired dishes and tapas developed by Avolta’s chefs at the company’s Centre for Culinary Excellence. Sandwiches and salads are available for take-away, and vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

In addition to the presence of Real Madrid team members who visited the new outlet, the opening featured a special appearance by football freestyler Paloma Pujol, who entertained the lucky attendees and players with her skills.

In addition to the dining area, travelers can purchase official Real Madrid products. This offer extends to 11 duty-free shops across the country, which offer a wider range of club merchandise and sports equipment.

The partnership between Real Madrid and Avolta reflects a trend in airport retail to create immersive brand experiences. By combining food and beverage and merchandise sales, the companies hope to create a stronger sense of place for travelers passing through Madrid airport.

At the opening event, football freestyler Paloma Pujol performed and entertained players and guests with her skills.
