Reinaldo Rueda met with the assembly for the parties against Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica

Honduras’ national team player, Colombian Reinaldo Rueda, called up 27 players to travel to Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica in the League of Nations of the Confederación de Norteamérica, Centroamérica and the Caribbean de Fútbol (Concacaf).

The Honduran selection competed after Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica with 11 militant players in external clubs and more than 16 teams in the national league, followed by the Federación de Fútbol de Honduras (FFH).

Rueda, who went to Honduras for the second time via the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, included in his list Jesús Batiz, the MLS military of Toronto FC, and his successor Juan Carlos Obregón of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, among others.

The vote for Honduras was accepted in Trinidad and Tobago on September 6 at the Estadio José de la Paz Herrera in Tegucigalpa, after it had also been registered in Jamaica four days earlier.

The Central American team belongs to Group B, including Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, Nicaragua and French Guyana.

The call-up list:

Defenders: Andy Nájar, Maylor Núñez and Jonathan Paz (Olimpia); Denil Maldonado (U Craiova-RO), Devron García (Real España); Marcelo Santos and Luis Vega (Motagua), and Joseph Rosales (Minnesota United-USA).

Centrocampistas: Edwin Rodríguez, Carlos Pineda and Jorge Álvarez (Olimpia); Jhow Benavídez (Real España), Alex López (Olancho), Kervin Arriaga (Partizán de Belgrado-SRB), Deiby Flores (Toronto-CAN) and David Ruiz (Inter Miami-USA).

Delanteros: Antony Lozano (Santos Laguna-MEX), Rubilio Castillo (Motagua), Luis Palma (Celtic-ESC), Douglas Martínez (Indy Eleven-USA), Alexy Vega (Marathón), Juan Carlos Obregón (Pittsburgh Riverhounds-USA), Bryan Róchez (Petro de Luanda-AGO and Jesús Batiz (Toronto-USA).
