Report: New York magazine writer Olivia Nuzzi allegedly sent RFK Jr. ‘modest’ nude photos during a ‘sexting’ affair

New York Magazine political reporter Olivia Nuzzi allegedly sent “modest” nude photos of herself to former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during their scandalous “sexting” affair, a report has revealed.

The relationship between Nuzzi and Kennedy was purely digital, but there were allegedly also offensive photos of the 31-year-old Washington correspondent, Puck News reported late Friday, citing a source.

Sources had previously told the Washington Post that the couple began “sexting” after Nuzzi met with the 70-year-old Kennedy scion for an article about the then-White House candidate published in November.

The star reporter was placed on leave on Thursday after New York Mag editors became aware of the inappropriate relationship.

Kennedy’s team had said he and Nuzzi had only met in person “once” for the November article – but Puck News reported on Friday that there had been several meetings.

The Post has asked Nuzzi for comment on allegations that she sent nude photos.

In a separate statement Friday evening, a spokesman for Kennedy called the latest revelations “unreservedly and unconditionally false” and reiterated that the former presidential candidate and Nuzzi had met only once.

After the bombshell news of their emotional affair broke Thursday night, New York Mag claimed that Nuzzi had “had a personal relationship with a former 2024 campaign official” – a violation of the publication’s standards.

Sources told The Washington Post that the magazine’s senior management already knew about the relationship and confronted Nuzzi about it, although there were reports that she had come clean to editors.

Nuzzi insisted that the relationship was “never physical” and that Kennedy was never used as a source.

“The relationship was never physical, but it should have been disclosed to avoid the appearance of a conflict. I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I have disappointed, especially my colleagues in New York,” she said in a statement, without mentioning Kennedy by name.

Nuzzi and Kennedy – the son of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy – are said to have engaged in sexting while she was engaged and he was married.

Sources told The Post that the explicit messages were first exchanged sometime around the turn of the year.

The duo “hasn’t been particularly careful” about keeping their relationship a secret, another source told The Post on Friday.

“There’s a reason New York Mag found out,” the source explained.

Kennedy has been married to “Cut It, Larry!” actress Cheryl Hines, his third wife, for over a decade.

Nuzzi was engaged to fellow political reporter Ryan Lizza in September 2022, but the two have called off the marriage.

Lizza confirmed the split in a statement to Politico on Friday, referring to Nuzzi as his “ex-fiancée.”
