Restaurant 101 workshop highlights insights from local restaurant owners on August 28 – The Suburban Times

TACOMA, Wash. – The City of Tacoma’s Department of Community and Economic Development will host a Restaurant 101 workshop on August 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Edison Square (5415 S. Tacoma Way). The event will feature local restaurant owners sharing their insights on starting and growing a restaurant or food and beverage business.

This free event is designed to help attendees navigate the complexities of the industry. Event highlights include:

  • An expert panel discussion
  • Tips for dealing with planning, environmental and health regulations
  • Financial planning for a better overview of the budgeting of tenant improvements
  • Networking opportunities

In addition, staff from the city’s Community and Economic Development, Environmental Services, and Planning and Development Services departments, along with staff from the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, will be available to answer questions.

Aspiring restaurant owners, current food and beverage business owners, and entrepreneurs with an interest in the food industry are welcome to attend. The full workshop schedule and event registration details can be found on this page.
