Fifth-seeded Nebraska defeated fourth-seeded Louisville volleyball in three sets, 25-16, 25-17 and 25-20, at the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday.

Harper Murray led the Cornhuskers with a team-best 11 kills, and Nebraska (10-1) recorded its fifth win over a higher-ranked opponent this season.

The Cardinals (8-2) host California on Friday at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

The Cornhuskers defeated the Cardinals in three sets 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

The attendance of 14,126 fans announced today at the KFC Yum! Center is the largest crowd in Louisville volleyball history.

The Cornhuskers lead 15-12 in the third set and are currently leading 4-0.

Nebraska won the second set 25:17.

The Cornhuskers lead 20-11 and have a batting average of .261. They are playing a clean game with only two hitting errors in the match.

Nebraska called a timeout after Louisville’s 3-0 run. The Cardinals trailed 17-10 in the set.

In the second set, Lindsay Krause served three aces in a row and gave the Cornhuskers a 5-2 lead.

Krause achieved a career high with four aces in this game.

Nebraska won the first set in Louisville 25-16. The Cornhuskers hit .320 and had three service aces in the set.

The Cardinals took their second timeout after Lindsay Krause’s ace serve. Nebraska leads 16-8 in set 1 and is on a 7-0 run.

The Cardinals made seven attacking errors in the set.

Louisville started the game 5-3, then Nebraska responded with four points in a row to take a 7-5 lead.
