Singapore’s Changi Airport, for example, is working closely with the government’s immigration department to introduce a biometric security system that will benefit both locals and tourists. This system will be phased in from this month, underlining Singapore’s commitment to leading the way in travel innovation.

The adoption of biometric technologies is not limited to Abu Dhabi and Singapore; it is part of a global movement towards safer and more efficient air travel. Major international airports such as Hong Kong International Airport, Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport have already begun to integrate biometric terminals at key transit points. These initiatives underscore the widespread adoption of biometric technologies and their potential to transform the way people travel around the world.
