PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with two burglaries of gun stores in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said in a news release Wednesday.

According to the ATF, the first robbery occurred in June and the other in July. A total of 43 weapons were stolen.

Authorities with the ATF Philadelphia Field Division said in a press release Wednesday morning that break-ins occurred at Jones Firearms near Columbia Avenue in Lancaster on June 30 and July 29.

Two masked individuals were seen at both burglaries, according to the ATF. A mid-2000s maroon or purple Honda Accord and a late-model black sedan with a sunroof may have been used in the second burglary, the ATF said.

The ATF is offering a $5,000 reward and the National Shooting Sports Foundation will match the amount for a total of $10,000.

“This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and the ATF in which the NSSF will match the ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed gun stores,” officials said in the press release.
