Salesforce CEO explains how customers use the new “Agentforce” platform

AgentForce offers a level of automation our customers have never seen before, says Salesforce CEO

In an interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Wednesday, he said: Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff spoke about the enterprise software company’s new Agentforce platform and described how companies are using the technology to automate certain functions.

“We’ve deployed Agentforce with so many of our customers now and we’re so excited because we’re helping them achieve unprecedented levels of automation in their customer service or sales,” said Benioff. “We can take into account the ebb and flow of customer demand and meet it in the way the customer needs.”

Benioff said some of the Salesforce customers who use Agentforce are ADPOpenTable, Wyndham And WileyAccording to him, the platform resolves “more than 90%” of customer queries for both ADP and OpenTable.

He also explained how Agentforce is helping textbook maker Wiley right now during a busy period when students are buying more books after returning to school. Benioff said Wiley can use the platform to “build out its customer service directly” instead of temporarily hiring and training new employees.

But Benioff claimed that even with these automated programs, “people are not going to disappear.”

“It’s an amazing moment where people with agents are driving customer success,” he said. “We’re automating all of these customer touchpoints with our apps, we’re building the data and now we’re deploying agents.”

Salesforce beat Wall Street expectations in its earnings report released after the market closed on Wednesday, and shares rose in further trading.
