Salty Isaiah likely to receive ridiculous criticism after loss to Chiefs

The 2024 NFL season is back and started with a bang on Thursday night. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens met in a rematch of the 2023 AFC Championship Game, but the result was the same.

The Chiefs beat the Ravens 27-20 to start the season 1-0, but the game was certainly nerve-wracking. Baltimore tight end Isaiah Likely athletically grabbed the ball in the back of the end zone and thought it was a touchdown. Instead, his toe was out of bounds and the touchdown was nullified.

Instead of accepting the loss and moving on to the next week, Likely made a wild statement about the Chiefs.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Likely believed the Ravens did not play their best and that the Chiefs should be wary in the playoffs.

“This is probably the worst game we’ll play all year. If this is their best game, good luck in the postseason.”

Isaiah probably

That’s an interesting comment, especially considering Patrick Mahomes has a career record of 4-1 against the Ravens.

On Thursday, the Ravens had more first downs (25), total plays (74), total yards (452) and rushing yards (185), but still lost. And he thinks this is the worst game the Ravens will ever play? What about the Chiefs?

Kansas City will definitely be better in January and this contest will serve as an example for them to learn from. And the betting markets don’t seem to be worried that this game was actually a plus for the Ravens. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs as the favorites to win Super Bowl LIX at +500, while the Ravens are in third place at +1200.

He probably played well in that game, but his postgame comments clearly showed frustration, giving the Chiefs more bulletin board material if they face each other in the postseason.
