Sandy Rustin’s “Clue” on stage at Divar Art Home

TEHRAN – The play “Clue” by Sandy Rustin, directed by Sepehr Javidian, is running at the Divar Art Home in Tehran.

The play features Fatemeh Akbarpur, Golnoush Imani, Yashar Boroumand, Erfan Ranjbar and Behrouz Lesani in the cast, among others.

Clue is a crime farce based on the popular 1985 board game of the same name. Sandy Rustin adapted Jonathan Lynn’s screenplay for the stage, with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price.

The story begins in a remote mansion where six mysterious guests gather for an unusual dinner party involving murder and blackmail. When their host is found dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler – Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the murderer as the body count continues to rise.

Clue is a crime thriller that will have cult fans and newcomers alike shaking with laughter as they try to figure out who did it, where, and with what!

Sandy Rustin is a Broadway playwright and actress. One of America’s most performed playwrights, Sandy wrote the adaptation of the cult film “Clue,” which has been performed over 3,500 times worldwide. The NY TIMES called it “a welcome return to an era of physical comedy!”

The play will be performed until Friday at Divar Art Home, located at 72, Sepand St., Nejatollahi St.
