HOLDEN, Maine (WABI) – In Bangor, community members have been hard at work preparing for the 12th Annual Sarah’s House Benefit Flea Market, which will take place all weekend long.
Earlier this summer, donations poured in from supporters who brought a variety of items to sell, including household goods and furniture.
CMG Home Loans, Maine Trailers and Great East Title sponsored the event this year.
Great East Title’s regional title manager says the reason behind the flea market motivates them to host the event every year.
“We are hosting our 12th annual garage sale to benefit Sarah’s House here at the Better Homes and Gardens office on Union Street in Bangor,” said Kasey Levesque.
“This is important to us to keep Sarah’s dream alive of running Sarah’s House, the cancer support house. It was her dream before she died and we want to continue it because it is as dear to all of us as Sarah’s dream is.”
The flea market will take place on Saturday, August 10th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, August 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
They accept cash and checks, no cards.
If you work up an appetite while shopping, food and drinks are also sold.
100 percent of the proceeds benefit Sarah’s House in Holden.
