Saturday Night Live’s 50th season features Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande and more

The 50th season of Saturday Night Live begins on September 28th and NBC has announced the hosts and musical guests for the first five episodes of the season.

First up on Saturday 28th are hostess Jean Smart and musical guest Jelly Roll. Both will be making their Saturday Night Live Debuts.

On October 5, comedian Nate Bargatze returns as host and Coldplay are the musical guests. Bargatze made his debut as host in October last year in an episode with the Foo Fighters. Coldplay were also there Saturday Night Live last year, with appearances in “The Astronaut” and “Fix You” in February.

Ariana Grande is back on October 12th Saturday Night Live just a few months after Forget it! songs on the program. This time, however, she will be the presenter – something she hasn’t done since 2016. The musical guest that evening will be legendary Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, who last appeared on the show in 1983.

The moderator of the October 19 episode is Michael Keaton. He is accompanied by Saturday Night Live Regular guest Billie Eilish, who last appeared on the NBC show in December 2023.

Finally, former Saturday Night Live Author John Mulaney hosts the November 2 episode. The musical guest that evening is rising star Chappell Roan.
