CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A gray and foggy first day of fall.

Grey & Cool

We wake up to cloud cover and scattered showers in eastern Iowa. We’ll have a mostly cloudy and foggy first day of fall, with temperatures in the 18 to 20 degrees range. The best chance for rain will be in the morning, with light rain gradually tapering off in the afternoon. A few breaks in the clouds are possible tonight, just before sunset. At night, lows will cool to 4 to 10 degrees, with partly cloudy skies.

Scattered showers on Monday

Scattered showers and a mix of sun and clouds are forecast for Monday. Maximum temperatures on Monday will be close to the season at 18 to 21 degrees.

Mainly dry, but looking towards the end of the week

From Tuesday onwards it will be dry again in the region, with highs of around 21 degrees for most of the working week. However, we expect rain again towards the end of the week and possibly next weekend due to a possible tropical system.
