Search for shooter after Oakland Park shooting: Teenage children and father shot dead – NBC 6 South Florida

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a man was shot and killed in Oakland Park on Saturday.

The shooting occurred just before noon near the 2100 block of Northwest 28th Street, authorities said. The gunman ran toward the victim in the driveway of a home and shot him before running away, BSO confirmed.

Officers found 18-year-old Ammon Watson in the driveway; he died at the scene, the BSO said.

Cousins ​​told NBC6 that Watson became a father this year and described the 18-year-old as a “sweet human being.” They said he was on his way to a store when he was shot.

Further information on a possible motive was not initially available.

Detectives from the BSO’s Crime Scene and Homicide Unit are investigating. They are now asking the public for help in finding the person responsible for Watson’s death.
