As of 8 p.m. ET, the impact was severe: 247 flights were delayed and six were canceled, according to FlightAware. The airport has not yet announced an estimated time when it will return to full operating capacity. In the meantime, officials are working with authorities and partners to assist travelers affected by the outage.

Travelers are advised to check with airlines for the latest travel information and allow extra time upon arrival at the airport. “To facilitate an easier transit through the airport, get your mobile boarding pass for your flight and checked baggage through the airline apps before arriving at SEA,” the airport advises.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) declined to comment on the delays and referred inquiries to SEA authorities. The airport is urging passengers to check with their airline for the most up-to-date flight information and to be prepared for further disruptions due to ongoing system problems.
