Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is currently battling a cyberattack that occurred over the weekend and brought down the airport’s internet, phone, email and other systems.

What happened: The Port of Seattle, which operates the airport, is working tirelessly to restore affected services. “We are working around the clock to bring the necessary systems back online and mitigate the impact to our passengers,” said Lance Lyttle, the airport’s aviation executive director, AP News reported Monday.

Cooper urged travelers to check with their airline for flight and baggage details, as SEA Airport’s apps and website did not provide this information at this time. Airlines such as border, spirit, sunland, International airlines were particularly affected and were advised to arrive at least three hours earlier.

Cooper also noted that certain services such as the SEA Visitor Pass and Lost and Found at the airport were not accessible. Although wait times at checkpoints were not displayed on screens, Cooper assured that lines were manageable. He recommended that passengers bring carry-on luggage if possible and follow standard TSA packing guidelines.
