See where fires are raging in Southern California – NBC Los Angeles

As of Tuesday, eight separate fires had burned more than 40,000 acres of land after the recent heat wave increased fire danger across Southern California.

Here are the active forest fires by county.

Los Angeles County

The Bridge Fire in the Angeles National Forest near Glendora had burned 34,000 acres (13.8 ha) of land as of Tuesday and was 0% contained.

Since the wildfire was first reported around 2 p.m. on Sunday, evacuation orders have been issued for surrounding residential areas, including the Baldy Village area between the dam and Mt. Baldy Resort.

Orange County

The Trabuco Canyon Airport Fire has quickly grown to nearly 20,000 acres since it was first reported Monday.

Evacuation orders and warnings have been in effect for several communities since Tuesday afternoon.

San Bernardino County

Firefighters battling the Line Fire hoped to turn the tide on Tuesday as the heat wave drew to a close and there was a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.

The Line Fire, which burned 32,905 acres and was 14% contained, threatened 65,600 structures in the region.

Riverside County

Firefighters have made great progress on the Tenaja Fire after it burned 130 acres near Lake Elsinore.

By Tuesday, the fire was 95% contained.

San Diego County

Since the Roblar Fire this weekend, 400 acres of land near Camp Pendleton have burned.

Fortunately, firefighters were able to stop the fire, as it was 45% contained by Tuesday.

San Luis Obispo County

The Chimineas Fire has burned 1,200 acres since it was reported last week.

By Tuesday, the disease had been 90% contained.

Kern County

The Borel fire destroyed 223 buildings and damaged 29 others.

Since the fire was reported on July 24, nearly 60,000 acres have been burned in the Sequoia National Forest.

The forest fire was 95% contained by Tuesday.

The train fire that burned 48 acres in Bealville has been 65% contained.
