COLORADO SPRINGS — A curfew in eastern Colorado Springs has been lifted after the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a man who barricaded himself inside the Emory Apartments, located near the intersection of Galley Road and North Murray Boulevard.

The police first ordered a curfew on Monday at around 11 p.m. The order, which lasted for hours, was finally lifted on Tuesday at around 5 a.m. The police said they had sprayed pepper spray into the apartment, leaving a noticeable hole in the window.

According to CSPD, the man is 28-year-old Nicholas Shores, who has been charged with aggravated menacing. Police say the original call was about a man, later identified as Shores, threatening one of his neighbors with a firearm.
