Shocking video shows former NASCAR driver Matt Tifft being attacked with a violent kick to the head

A former NASCAR driver was attacked with a brutal kick to the head in Ohio over the weekend.

Matt Tifft, a former NASCAR Cup Series racer, is currently competing on the ASA STARS National Tour and was on track in Toledo, Ohio.

Tifft got into an argument with a fellow driver who, according to him, had wrecked several cars during the race, including his own.

He was eliminated from the race by Billy VanMeter and Even Shotko, who finished in seventh place.

When he tried to face the opposing team alone, he was taken to the ground by his opponents. One of them said: “Get out of here, you’re in the wrong place.”

After being taken to the ground, Tifft received a violent kick in the face from an unidentified person from the VanMeter team.

Tifft was then put on his feet, his face covered in blood, and he continued talking to the other riders, saying, “Just don’t take everyone out, man.”

The entire encounter was captured on video and subsequently posted on Tifft’s Twitter account.

He wrote: “I was having a great race until I got hit by someone who then took three other cars with him. I can’t stand people who don’t respect other people’s equipment.”

“It’s always a good sign when multiple teams thank you after you confront them. Hopefully this is the last time you get VanMetered.”

Tifft joined the NASCAR Cup Series in 2019, where he competed in 32 races. He also competed in the Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series junior races.

He retired from NASCAR after being diagnosed with epilepsy – he suffered an epileptic seizure during a 2019 race at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.

Since racing was out of the question, Tifft bought a share in the Live Fast Motorsports team – and became the youngest Cup Series owner ever at just 24 years old.
