The Halloween season extends to Christmas with the release of Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu To December 25, 2024and a small gallery with new pictures has arrived.

Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Corrin And Lily Rose Depp also star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), Simon McBurney And Ralph Ineson.

Eggers (The Witch, The Northman) directed the film and he wrote the screenplay. Eggers also serves as producer alongside Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, Jeff Robinov and John Graham.

FW Murnau directed the original version from 1922 Nosferatuwhile fellow German filmmaker Werner Herzog directed his own version of the classic story in 1979.

The silent film from 1922 is about the vampire Count Orlok, who wants to buy a house in Germany and falls in love with the estate agent’s wife. It was an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” that almost led to the destruction of all copies.
