AMMON, IDAHO (KIFI) – The Snake River Truck Show was held Saturday, August 17th at McCowin Park in Ammon. The event, organized each year by Devan Ence, sees people from all over the United States bring their customized trucks to the park. The event has been running for 6 years now.

The show is a two-day event. On the first day, there is a pre-meeting point starting at 6 p.m. where trucks can be parked for the second day and where people can mingle with other visitors. The second day lasts from morning to afternoon, when spectators can come to McCowin Park and view the custom trucks. Afterward, prizes are awarded to participants and raffles are held.

But that day isn’t just about checking out cool trucks. The event also raises money for Operation Pay it Forward, a nonprofit that helps veterans of the U.S. military. Founder Eric Pauly talked about how great this combination of truck show and Operation Pay it Forward is:

“I think we raised about $3,500 today, which is great,” Eric Pauly said. “It was fantastic. Yeah. I mean, it was great. I mean, I learned a long time ago that good things happen when you just surround yourself with good people, you know, and Devan is one of the best, as is everyone that helps put this together. You know, I’ve known Devan for years, and a lot of great people here are kind of the salt of the earth, and I mean, that’s what makes the organization and keeps us going.”

It was announced today on the Snake River Truck Show Facebook page that next year’s event will be held on August 15-16, 2025.
