Now, food experts have named a South Carolina restaurant as one of the best restaurants for delicious pasta in America. Of course, there are plenty of delicious pasta restaurants in South Carolina, but this one has been chosen as one of the best restaurants for pasta not just in South Carolina, but in all of America.

MSN.com’s travel section now has a new post about the best places to get pasta in America. “Who doesn’t love diving into a plate of perfectly prepared pasta?” they explain. That’s right. “Whether it’s pesto-stuffed ravioli, spaghetti in a deep red sauce, an inventive handmade creation or a whole new take on a classic, sometimes you just can’t do anything else.” So the food experts searched across America for the best places to get that oh-so-delicious bowl of pasta. They also chose the restaurants based on real “user reviews” as well as awards and accolades and “our team’s firsthand experience.” They also review and update these best lists regularly so they’re up to date with the best places.
If you’re looking around the country for a few select spots, if you’re heading to New York, they recommend the Italian-American restaurant Carbone, which MSN calls “a star of New York’s dining scene.” The restaurant’s specialty, according to MSN, is spicy rigatoni with vodka. “Homemade pasta is tossed in a delicious vodka sauce with onions, tomatoes and cream and tastes like heaven,” it says. If you’re in California, on the other hand, these restaurants recommend Marugame Monzo and, in particular, the fusion dish Miso Carbonara Udon. They rave about this dish’s thick udon noodles and incredibly creamy carbonara sauce, which is finished with a little miso. It’s apparently such a unique carbonara dish that you won’t find anything like it anywhere else.
So which South Carolina restaurant was named one of America’s best restaurants for delicious pasta? It’s the popular Renzo in Charleston. This place is, of course, known for its amazing wood-fired pizzas. But even beyond pizza, Renzo has a very dynamic and ever-changing menu, so you’ll always find a new and original pasta dish to try. One of the most unique dishes at Renzo is the wood-fired lasagna. “The dish combines Bolognese di testa with provolone piccante, pecorino, parsley, mint and ‘Grandma’s special sauce,'” notes MSN. Renzo is located at 384 Huger Street in Charleston. I’m glad to see it getting a little praise.
