State Police Calls: Window Curtains Valued at 5 Stolen at Clarion Walmart

CLARION/FOREST CO., Pennsylvania (EYT) — Local state police responded to the following incidents:

Stolen curtains from Walmart

According to a report released on August 13, Clarion-based state police responded to a report of a shoplifting on July 13 at approximately 3:21 p.m. at Walmart at 63 Perkins Road, Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, eight window curtains were stolen. The value of the curtains is $145.14.

The person arrested is a 34-year-old woman from Rimersburg.

Driving under the influence of alcohol on Route 66

PSP Marienville responded to a crash on August 10 at approximately 8:08 a.m. on Route 66 in Jenks Township, Forest County. The known driver of the vehicle was traveling south on Route 66 and allegedly swerved to avoid a deer in the road, causing the vehicle to become stuck in a ditch.

The driver told police he had been drinking the night before and was leaving a friend’s house around 1:00 a.m. He said he swerved to avoid a deer in the road and ended up in the ditch. The driver also said he felt impaired by alcohol consumption before leaving the friend’s house.

The driver was charged with drunk driving.

Facebook fraud and theft

According to a report released on August 13, State Police in Clarion investigated a Facebook scam on July 6. The scam affected a victim in Paint Township, Clarion County, and involved a stolen $300 Apple gift card.

The victim was a 63-year-old man from Knox.
