Steffen Henssler opens new pop-up store in Hamburg

Hamburg- Shortly before 10 a.m. on Mönckebergstraße in the hamburger City centre: Around a hundred people are already queuing up to be the first visitors to the new pop-up store of Steffen Henssler (51), which opened its doors for the first time this Saturday.

Just two weeks ago, the TV chef announced the “grand reopening” via social media and said that there would be “pans, spices, teriyaki sauce and much more.” As the range showed on Saturday, Henssler also sold his cookbooks, ready-made dough and oils.

On Saturday, the brightly colored store was in a very good mood for Steffen Henssler, who was happy about the large number of visitors and was on hand to offer his new customers advice and assistance.

Recently, the TV star (“Grill den Henssler”) had not had much to laugh about, with new bad news about his various restaurant chains across Germany coming in almost every day.

However, Henssler was very confident about his new project on Saturday and his fans were also enthusiastic about the new concept. “More cities need something like this,” said one user on Instagram. It is not known how long the store will remain in the city in the open mittens.

Most recently, Henssler’s “Ahoi” restaurants in Oldenburg and Osnabrück had to close. Allegedly due to falling visitor numbers. In addition, five branches of “GO by Steffen Henssler” had to file for bankruptcy at the end of May. According to “Wirtschaftswoche”, the locations in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt were among those affected.

But that’s not all: the delivery service chain “Henssler at Home” also has financial problems. How that”Hamburg Evening Paper” reported, the four branches in Hamburg also recently filed for bankruptcy.
