Store employee gets engagement ring back after it was lost in customer’s bag

A relieved woman has recovered her lost engagement ring after it was found in the bag of a customer at the store where she works.

According to the BBC, Morganne Moreno was working at the cash register at the Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen in Cowbridge, Wales, when her ring went missing.

After the store posted a Facebook post on August 17 asking customers to check their bags after Moreno’s ring went missing, they announced a few days later that the special jewelry had been found by a couple.

“We are delighted to announce that the lost engagement ring has been found!” Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen said in a statement on Facebook on August 21. “Thank you to everyone who shared the post and an even bigger thank you to the couple who found it ๐Ÿ™Œ We have a very happy bride-to-be ๐Ÿ’.”

The post also included a photo of Moreno, 28, wearing the ring again, adding in the comments: “Thank you all so much! Lots of tears and worry but I couldn’t be more grateful! The ring is now ready to be taken in for resizing ๐Ÿฅนโค๏ธ xxx.”

The bride-to-be then looked for the item in the store and asked her colleague if she could post an appeal on the store’s Facebook page.

“I didn’t miss a beat in this store,” Moreno told the outlet. “I think I did this a million times over the weekend, back and forth, back and forth.”

A few days later, Moreno was about to go to bed when she received a message from her colleague informing her that her ring had been found.

“This whole experience has restored my faith in humanity,” Moreno continued. “It makes you realize that there are really good people out there who want to help.”
