Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce crown a turbulent weekend in New York with a trip to Arthur Ashe Stadium for the US Open final.
Swift and Kelce were filmed arriving at the stadium on Sept. 8 before the game officially began at 2 p.m. ET. In the championship, No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner of Italy will face Taylor Fritz, the first American to reach the final since 2006.
Swift and Kelce both wore red and white. The singer wore a red gingham dress, sunglasses and her classic red lips, while the football star wore a white shirt, cream cardigan and red and green striped bucket hat.
Later, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes joined Swift and Kelce for the match. Patrick Mahomes wore all black and Brittany Mahomes opted for a striped Gucci top, like Kelce.
Before the tournament began, No. 1 women’s singles player Iga Swiatek had hoped that Swift and Kelce would compete at the US Open. But the Olympic bronze medalist lost in the quarterfinals to American Jessica Pegula. Pegula took part in the women’s championship on September 7, where she lost to Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.
Swift’s performance at the US Open comes during a break from the singer’s tour. The European leg of her “Eras Tour” ended in August. She will next perform in three cities in the US before heading to Canada. The record-breaking tour will officially end in December, she has confirmed.
So far, Swift seems to be spending her break at sporting events, both cheering and with her boyfriend. Swift attended the NFL Kickoff game on September 5 at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs defeat the Ravens 27-20.
The next day, Swift and Kelce were spotted dining in New York before attending a wedding on September 7.
