Tech Bytes: Walmart ends drone delivery service in certain states

The Ministry of Transport plans to introduce technology to share location information between vehicles. Nintendo unveils the Nintendo Museum in Japan in the next Direct livestream. Walmart announces the end of drone deliveries due to high costs.

Cars could soon communicate with each other. The US Department of Transportation plans to introduce the so-called Vehicle-to-Everything technology nationwide. This will allow cars to exchange location information with each other. The full introduction is planned for 2036.

Nintendo is taking fans behind the scenes today with its “Nintendo Museum Direct” event. The livestream gives a first look at the Nintendo Museum, which is set to open in Japan next fall. But don’t get too excited too soon, there won’t be any game announcements or news about a new Switch console.

Walmart is halting drone deliveries in Arizona, Utah and Florida due to high costs. Walmart partner DroneUp will close 18 hubs and lay off 70 employees as it shifts its focus to Dallas. The company plans to improve operations and reduce delivery costs.
