CEBU CITY, Philippines – Terminal 2 of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has achieved a major milestone with a 4-star rating from Skytrax.

The London-based consultancy has upgraded T2’s rating from 3 stars to 4 stars, citing improvements to the terminal’s “first-class facilities and exceptional customer experience”.

They also highlighted the terminal’s transfer infrastructure, which makes the airport a good choice for connecting flights in the Philippines.

“Cebu Airport offers an efficient experience in both terminals and the newly implemented transfer infrastructure makes it a good choice for connecting flights in the Philippines,” said Skytrax.

Reviews

Skytrax’s star rating is divided into several categories.

These include ground transportation, security screening, immigration services, wayfinding and signage, arrivals, departures, transfers, terminal comfort, terminal facilities, shopping and food and drink.

At Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the categories arrival, food and drink and transfer received only four-star ratings.

On the other hand, according to Skytrax’s analysis, Terminal 2 needs improvement in terms of terminal layouts and rest and relaxation areas, as these were rated with two stars.

The terminal’s children’s play area received a poor rating of one star.
