Texans lead 12-7 against Colts at halftime

At halftime, the Texans led the Colts 12-7. It could be more.

The refs and Houston botched the end of the half. They reviewed a catch by Dalton Schultz that was upheld, but the review came after a spike by CJ Stroud. The refs initially put 15 seconds on the clock, but after a timeout by the Colts to complain, the clock was reset to 5 seconds.

However, the clock did not start at the snap, but before it, and time ran out on an incomplete pass by Stroud for the Texans at the Indianapolis 31-yard line.

Coach DeMeco Ryans took the blame for his field goal unit not being on the field on the final play.

Stroud completed 12 of 17 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown, Nico Collins caught three passes for 79 yards. Stefon Diggs reached over 10,000 receiving yards in his career with his first catch and his third pass brought a 9-yard touchdown.

Joe Mixon has nine carries of 55 yards and Ka’imi Fairbairn has field goals of 51 and 50 yards.

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had his ups and downs. He threw a 60-yard dime to Alec Pierce but was only able to complete 6 of 12 passes for 93 yards with a touchdown and an interception, with Calen Bullock making a dangerous interception for the Colts. Richardson had four carries for 43 yards and Jonathan Taylor ran for 30 yards on 10 carries.

The Texans outscored the Colts 207 to 155.
