Texas A&M has the edge in bowling at halftime

The Texas A&M Aggies No. 25 wanted to make a statement in their duel against the Bowling Green Falcons.

However, after two quarters, they struggled to maintain the lead and went into the locker room at halftime with a 13-3 lead.

Things started well for Texas A&M: Redshirt freshman quarterback Marcel Reed led the Aggies down the field and scored a touchdown on the first drive, hitting tight end Theo Melin Ohrstrom in the end zone from 27 yards out.

From then on, however, it became a tough battle for the Aggies on offense.

After two consecutive punts, Texas A&M managed to get back on the scoreboard with a field goal and extended its lead to 10-3 with a touchdown.

The Aggies managed to mount a solid attack at the end of the half, fighting their way down the field and scoring a field goal, ending the half with a 13-3 lead.

As a team, the Aggies totaled 197 yards of offense but were unable to convert that into points. Texas A&M was most effective on the ground, gaining 82 yards in the running game, including 50 yards from Reed on nine carries.

Reed also completed 9 of 17 passes for 99 yards and the point.

Fortunately for the Aggies, the defense was in action on Saturday, holding the Falcons to just 102 yards on offense, including just 50 yards through the air from starting QB Connor Bazelak on 6 of 11 passing.

The Aggies hope to show more consistency on offense by the second half.
