A disturbing murder case has come to light in northwest Houston: 27-year-old Ivan Bautista Cazarez has been accused of killing the mother of his child.
Man comes to police station with confession
On Saturday, August 10, Cazarez walked into a police station and confessed to the crime, revealing that he killed the woman and left her body in a vehicle outside an Academy store on US-290 at 34th Street.
Cazarez told officers he committed the crime and then drove her body to an Academy store on US-290 at 34th Street, where he left her in the vehicle. When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found the woman’s body in the back seat of the car. Cazarez was pronounced dead at the scene, but the circumstances of his death were not detailed.
Authorities have charged Cazarez with murder and set his bail at $150,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
