Texas woman arrested for attempting to buy child at Walmart

Texas woman arrested for attempting to buy child at Walmart

There are hundreds of Walmart locations across Texas, and you can find everything you’d expect in a store: groceries, camping gear, babies, clothing… Wait, what? Yes, someone actually decided to go into a Walmart to buy a BABY; as you might expect, that did NOT go well.

Who in the world would want to buy a baby at a Walmart in Texas?

That’s a very good question. Perhaps the person who can answer that question is Rebecca Taylor. She was arrested in 2022 while allegedly trying to BUY a baby at a Walmart in Crockett, Texas (about 2 hours from Houston, Texas).

According to eyewitnesses, Rebecca approached a woman, was enamored with her one-year-old baby’s “blonde hair and blue eyes” and offered her $250,000 for the child. The mother thought she was joking and laughed it off. Rebecca then offered her HALF A MILLION DOLLARS for the baby.

The mother felt threatened (like any normal mother) and fled to the parking lot, where Rebecca followed her and threatened to take the child away from her by force.

Eventually the mother was able to call the police and they arrested 49 year old Rebecca Taylor. She was charged with the third degree felony of attempting to sell or buy a child. However, the police actually let her go after a $50,000 bail was posted. There have been no NEW stories about her so far, but I think this one has pretty much cemented this woman’s legacy…

She WAS actually interviewed by a local Fox News affiliate after her arrest; that’s, um… definitely a show to watch, that’s for sure…

Moral of the story? DON’T BUY BABIES!!! Come on, man. Be better than that…
