Memphis Tigers: OVR 85, OFF 85, DEF 82

The Tigers are considered favorites to win the American Athletic Conference this season, thanks in large part to the return of many talented offensive players. The Tigers also have one of the top 25 offenses in the entire league.

Boise State Broncos: OVR 82, OFF 78, DEF 80

Like Memphis, the Broncos are among the favorites to claim a G5 spot in the College Football Playoff. Running back Ashton Jeanty, who has a 91 overall rating, is responsible for much of that hype.

Tulane Green Wave: OVERS 80, AUS 80, DEF 82

Already in their first year under Jon Sumrall, Tulane has a great mix of returning talent and transfer players, making them one of the more balanced teams in the game.

South Florida Bulls: OVR 80, OFF 84, DEF 76

Quarterback Byrum Brown, who has made several lists of the game’s best quarterbacks, leads a USF team that, while far from perfect (especially on defense), is by far the most improved in football than it was two years ago.

Liberty Flames: OVR 80, OUTPUT 82, DEF 76

Kaidon Salter and Quinton Cooley both made the game’s top 100 players list. Like USF, the defense needs work, but they can score points if used correctly.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers: OVR 80, OFF 80, DEF 78

Tyson Helton’s “Air Raid Adjacent” offense is a lot of fun, especially because there are two solid quarterbacks to choose from in TJ Finley and Caden Veltkamp.

UTSA Roadrunners: OVR 80, OFF 79, DEF 76

It should come as no surprise that the Roadrunners are one of the top-rated G5 teams, as Jeff Traylor has made UTSA one of the most consistent teams in football since 2020.

Miami (OH) RedHawks: OVR 80, OFF 73, DEF 78

The reigning MAC champions lead the division thanks largely to their defense, which helped them advance to the title game in late 2023 despite a weakened offense.

Fresno State Bulldogs: OVR 80, OFF 79, DEF 76

An offense headlined by UCF transfer Mikey Keene and talented running back Malik Sherrod, plus a defense featuring highly touted USC transfer linebacker Korey Foreman, the Bulldogs are an exciting contender in the Mountain West.
