The Beatles almost return to the top 10 in their home country

The hits The Beatles recorded over half a century ago are still full of life. It’s incredible to see audiences continue to stream and, more importantly, buy songs that have been around for decades but never seem to fade from the public consciousness, no matter how much time passes.

This week, The Beatles almost returned to the top 10 in one of their home country’s song charts. They missed it by just a few places, but the fact that they came so close – and with a song that millions have already bought – is further proof of the popularity of the greatest band in history.

‘From Us To You – 2 March 1964’ is rocketing up the official vinyl singles chart in the UK this year. The single release – which is actually more like an EP as it contains more than half a dozen tracks – catapults from number 22 to number 12 on the list of best-selling songs on vinyl in the country.

At the heart of the collection is a song – “From Me to You” – which was released as a single in 1963. The new EP also includes a number of other songs that round it out and make it a must-have for fans. Released earlier this month, the track debuted at number 6 and has now stayed in the top 10 of the official vinyl singles chart for three years.

The same project also rises on the similar official physical singles chart, jumping from number 29 to number 18, approaching its previously set peak of number 12.

This week, the Beatles actually manage to occupy two places in the latter ranking. In addition to “From Us To You – 2 March 1964”, the band’s latest single is also included. “Now and Then”, which was released at the end of 2023, gains significant ground in this context and rises from 62nd place to 32nd place.
