The best seafood restaurant in Michigan is one of the best in the country

I was in Baltimore a few weeks ago and literally had the best seafood of my life. Not only the crab, but all the other seafood was immaculately fresh. Having access to the ocean and fresh seafood deliveries every day has completely changed the taste, and then there’s that wonderful Old Bay seasoning. Even though Michigan isn’t on the ocean, there are a few places in the area that have pretty good seafood.

Michigan may never be able to compare to states like Maryland, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and others that are located on the coast. Being able to have a steady supply of fresh fish delivered, prepared, cooked and served is something that can’t be replicated so far from the sea. So what’s the next best option? Seafood in Michigan isn’t as bad as you think. There are many restaurants throughout the state that specialize in seafood, but which is the best?

I’m hoping to be able to enjoy seafood again here in Michigan after being by the ocean and noticing the marked difference. I may just have to make a trip to the best seafood restaurant in the state to see if it can keep up, or at least tide me over until I can get back to the ocean. An article on LoveFood.com highlights the best seafood restaurants in each state, and surprisingly, the west side has one thing to celebrate.
