The Friends of the Fairview Library book sale will take place on Thursday, the FCE bake sale on Saturday

The wait is over because the Friends of the Fairview Public Library’s biannual Book Flea Market is back this week – and all ages can enjoy great savings, food and fun!

Book sales are the Friends of the Fairview Public Library’s primary fundraiser and are instrumental in enabling the Friends to provide programs and items to improve the library and support the many events in which the library participates.

Fairview Library Director Phillip McAndrew said, “We are so fortunate here at the Fairview Public Library to have such a great group of generous and hard-working Friends who raise money and support events like ‘Anthony the Balloon Kid.’ The Friends help in so many different ways. Their upcoming book sale (August 22-24) is just one great example of that.”

The friends have carefully organized and prepared the space to provide shoppers with a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience. The book sale includes a wide selection of hardback books, technical books, paperbacks, books for children and adults, DVDs, music CDs, games and puzzles.

The book sale will take place on Thursday, August 22nd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Friday, August 23rd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, August 24th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The book sale will take place in the community and meeting rooms of the Fairview Public Library, 2240 Fairview Blvd. in Fairview.

A special preview evening for members of the Friends of the Fairview Public Library will be held on Wednesday, August 21st from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. A ticket is required for admission.

Also on Saturday, August 24, the Fairview Family and Community Education (FCE) Club will be hosting a bake sale at the library featuring homemade cakes, breads, pastries, cookies and more.

Net proceeds from the FOFL book sale and the FCE bake sale benefit the Fairview branch of the Williamson County Public Library.
