The Italiano restaurant is scheduled to open in Scottsdale on September 20

A new restaurant by chef Joey Maggiore is set to open soon in Scottsdale.

Italiano will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, September 20, at 9301 E. Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale. According to a press release, this will be the Maggiore Group’s sixth culinary concept in the Valley.

The 700-square-foot restaurant is adorned with limestone and olive trees and offers traditional seating as well as an indoor patio. There will also be a private dining room with an art installation honoring Maggiore’s late father, Tomaso Maggiore. Additionally, the restaurant features a sky-painted ceiling, where guests sit under a color-changing canvas that reflects the rising and setting of the sun. The restaurant’s art and layout were designed by Cristina Maggiore, wife of Joey Maggiore.

“This is truly our best concept yet,” said Joey Maggiore, chef and co-founder of The Maggiore Group and Chef Joey Concepts. “We draw inspiration from every corner of Italy to combine age-old traditions with innovative approaches. We can’t wait for you to experience our family heritage in a new and familiar way.”

The Italiano’s menu will include authentic Italian dishes, as well as an antipasto station with over 30 different dishes that guests can customize, the press release said. There will also be a limoncello cocktail station and a zabaione dessert station.

Italiano is currently hiring for a variety of positions including waiters, busboys, cooks, dishwashers and more.
