The moment Dave Grohl’s ex-girlfriend Louise Post accused him of cheating on stage in Australia has resurfaced after he admitted to secretly fathering a child.

The 55-year-old rock star shocked his fans on Tuesday when he announced on Instagram that he recently had a baby daughter outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum.

Amid the bombshell news, details have also resurfaced about the shocking moment when Dave’s ex-girlfriend Louise (57) accused him of cheating on stage while drunk in the 1990s.

Elsewhere, Dave’s comments have also resurfaced about his infamously wild visit Down Under in 2000, during which he was arrested after drinking “shots” at Sea World.

The Foo Fighters frontman was linked to Veruca Salt singer Louise after his marriage to first wife Jennifer Youngblood ended in 1997 and he admitted to infidelity.

However, after about a year of dating, the couple’s relationship ended abruptly when Louise accused Dave of cheating on stage during a show in Melbourne.

Louise publicly ranted about Dave and bluntly claimed that he had cheated on her with actress Winona Ryder, which Dave denied.

Louise later reportedly said she was drunk at the time, but did not retract her allegations and admitted she had “publicly broken down” during her Australian tour.

Despite the tumultuous split, Louise and Dave are now friends and she has addressed speculation that their split was the inspiration for the lyrics of her 2000 album ‘Resolver’.

“People definitely read things into my songs. In interviews, any mention of him makes me angry,” Louise told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“It was a private relationship, but it attracted so much attention. I didn’t want it to come to that. Now I’m friends with him.”

The “dramatic” Melbourne show also marked the beginning of the end for her band Veruca Salt, which disbanded shortly after following a falling out between her and co-founder Nina Gordon. However, the pair reconciled in 2015.

“(Nina and I) had a big fight on stage in Melbourne,” she told The Music in 2015. “I just found out that my then-boyfriend was cheating on me, so I had a public breakdown on all the Australian stages.”

“Then we went back to the States, and then Nina and I had a falling out and went our separate ways. Despite all that, I have only good memories of Australia. Even that tour: it was crazy, it was wild, it was dramatic.”

In addition to Louise’s infamous on-stage rant Down Under, Dave also had a pretty wild visit to Australia himself in 2000, which ended with his arrest.

The “embarrassing” incident occurred as the rocker was drinking “shots” at Sea World while visiting the Gold Coast to perform at the Big Day Out festival at the start of his fame.

After renting a moped to do some sightseeing, Dave was stopped at an RBT checkpoint on the way back to his hotel and was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.95.

In Australia, driving with a blood alcohol content of over 0.05% is a criminal offence.

When Dave appeared in court again during the Foo Fighters’ Australian tour, he was fined $400. He has been thinking about the incident ever since.

During a performance at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane in December, Dave told fans that he was arrested for drinking “shots” during a day of sightseeing.

“I was on one of those Big Day Out tours. I was on a scooter going to the Gold Coast so I could go to Sea World and drink bloody blue shots,” he said on stage.

“I was supposed to be on vacation, but I spent the whole thing in a shitty prison cell with a guy in a Primus t-shirt who wouldn’t stop snoring.”

Dave revealed that his cellmates were huge fans of his music and that they all became friends during the wild turn of his Australian vacation.

“Everyone in prison was like, ‘All right, Dave!’ We were touring with Nine Inch Nails and Primal Scream and I’m the one who gets fucking thrown in jail. That’s bullshit,” he joked.

In 2021, Dave also called the incident “embarrassing” and said he had to declare the arrest on his travel declaration form every time he entered the country.

“I still have to answer for that every time I come down; every time I have to check that damn box,” he wrote in his memoir, “The Storyteller: Tales Of Life And Music.”

“They pull me aside at the airport and I have to tell them the story and they laugh and then I get my bag. It’s damn embarrassing.”

“I got thrown in jail for riding a scooter while drunk. That was fun. Oh, the memories. Those were the days. It’s not a bad life,” Dave said in 2019.

Dave first toured Down Under with his former rock band Nirvana in 1992 and has visited the country regularly with the Foo Fighters since 1995.

Dave and his Nirvana bandmates Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic made a famous appearance at a Sydney pub in 1992 before they rose to worldwide fame.

Just four weeks after first hitting No. 1 on the US album charts, the group took to the stage for a wild performance in front of around 2,000 fans at the Coogee Bay Hotel.

Dave has since described Australia as his “second home” and one of his “favourite damn places” in the world, after touring the globe for 30 years.

His renewed comments come after Dave admitted on Instagram on Tuesday that he had cheated on his wife Jordyn (48) and secretly fathered a little girl.

A statement read: “I recently became the father of a daughter born outside of my marriage. I intend to be a loving and supportive father to her.”

“I love my wife and children and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

“We are grateful for your consideration for all the children affected as we move forward together.”

Dave and Jordyn met in 2001 and have been married since 2003. They have three daughters together – Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

His two eldest children deleted their Instagram accounts following their father’s announcement.

While little is known about his second wife, Jordyn was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the musician.

Jordyn has worked with the Foo Fighters on several occasions. She appeared in the band’s 2002 video for “White Limo” and co-directed their 2002 music video for “Walking a Line.”

Dave divorced his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, in 1997 after she admitted to cheating on him during their three-year marriage.

He previously said of the union: “I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married. I miss her very much, she’s the funniest nutcase you’ll ever meet in your life.”

“Simply charming. It would have been better if we hadn’t gotten married. But you never stop learning.”

Dave has previously hinted that the Foo Fighters’ hit “Everlong” was inspired by his first wife.

He said: “I had just broken up with a girl I had been dating for a while, so I was in the middle of an intense emotional phase.”

“And for whatever reason, the emotion or feeling that I had when I played that chord progression somehow touched that emotion, whatever it was.

“I started writing the lyrics to this song because of how I was feeling, and it feels real.”

The Foo Fighters’ first single, “This Is A Call,” was written during the couple’s honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland in 1994.

Dave met his second wife Jordyn in 2001 at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood and they married on August 2, 2003 at their LA home.

The musician, often described as a “family man,” has spoken about the importance of his family in interviews over the years.
