The Municipality of Bar has allocated 30,000 euros for the rental of commercial premises in order to provide funds for the comprehensive reception and accommodation of preschool children in the kindergarten “Vukosava Ivanović Mašanović” in Bar for the 2024/25 school year.

The signing of the donation agreement was one of the topics of the meeting between the Mayor of the Municipality of Dušan Raičević, the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović and the Director of the Public Prosecutor’s Office “Vukosava Ivanović Mašanović”, Ivana Milenković.

“They also discussed the implementation of the memorandum on cooperation in the implementation of priority projects in the field of educational infrastructure in the municipality of Bar, which was signed in early June this year,” the municipality said in a statement. The memorandum provides for joint investments by the ministry and the municipality of about 18 million euros for the construction of a new kindergarten, reconstruction of primary and secondary schools, introduction of heating systems and improvement of energy efficiency, as well as reconstruction of gyms and sports fields in almost all schools in Bar.

After the meeting, Raičević and Jakšić-Stojanović visited the Srbija and Yugoslavia primary schools, which are being renovated as part of a project to improve energy efficiency, and then visited the Mrkojevići primary school, where work is currently underway to build a gymnasium.
