CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The industrial park continues to grow, offering more businesses and industries, but for people who want to avoid Wilma Rudolph Boulevard during rush hour, food options are limited.
For this reason, Carlo Burzi and his wife Jenny decided to open a restaurant that would not only reduce travel times but also offer real, authentic Italian cuisine.

We Love Emilia is expected to open this month and will feature dishes such as tortellini, polpette al sugo, a meatball-based dish, and rosemary patate, a french fry dish, on the menu. The Italian restaurant will also offer desserts such as crostata della jenny with jam and tiramisu.
How it all began
Burzi is CEO of Hydro Design, a company that makes tile products such as mosaics. He owns the building next door, and there was a room there that was originally used as an office. After discussions with his wife, Burzi decided to convert the office space into a restaurant with an outdoor terrace.
He is excited about the remodel offering high-quality food and an intimate dining experience while also giving the industrial park’s employees another dining option.
“This space is very cozy and small; there’s an open kitchen so you can see pizza being baked and pasta being made, all by hand. There are no TVs either,” Burzi told Clarksville Now. Spending time with family and friends is an important part of the experience.

The restaurant emphasizes fresh, homemade food. Nothing is frozen, so some dishes may not be available if ingredients are not in season. An ever-changing menu allows staff to ensure that food is prepared properly, for example by making pasta from scratch.
We Love Emilia is scheduled to begin operations with a soft opening on Friday, August 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Burzi said he is still looking to hire employees, so hours may vary during the initial period. We Love Emilia is located at 1020 Smokestack Road.
The new restaurant will be located right on the edge of the industrial park, near the corner of Alfred Thun Road and Corporate Parkway Boulevard.
Josh Ward, vice president of industrial development for the Clarksville-Montgomery County IDB, said, “With the industrial park adding 5,000 new jobs over the next few years, we are excited to welcome new restaurants and retail options for manufacturing workers and the surrounding communities.”
