Is there anything better than enjoying your favorite beverage on a warm summer day near the New Jersey shore?

Honestly, it might be the ultimate way to relax and unwind. And if there’s an acoustic guitarist or cover band playing while you sip your drink, that’s even better.

The great thing about living in Jersey is that there is no shortage of local pubs.

Whether you’re looking for a craft brewery like Battle River, Toms River Brewing or Kane, or a place that serves fancy cocktails like Garden State Distillery, Rosies or Donovan’s Reef, there really is something for everyone.

Then there are times when you want to enjoy an ice cold drink with your toes in the sand, and unfortunately in Jersey you can’t just head to the beach with a gin and sparkling water without getting fined.

That’s where the best bar on the New Jersey shore comes in. And I know this place is no secret, but I just love it.

My wife and I like to go there for happy hour during the week and for live music on Saturdays and Sundays when we don’t have anything else planned.

They have great drink deals: $6 frozen drinks and $6 draft beer; and the frozen drinks come in a ton of flavors from margarita to coconut to cherry and more.

You can sip your drink with your toes in the sand when you visit the Sandbar on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk.

There’s just something special about listening to the sound of the ocean, feeling the excitement on the boards, and feeling the energy of your favorite cover band around you while you enjoy a drink in an Adirondack house with your feet sinking into the warm sand.

Even better, the Sand Bar is connected to the sawmill, so if you get hungry, you can just order a big piece of the beach and eat it.

Or maybe you’re more into dive bars? There are plenty of them in Jersey and these are some of the best!
